Our History

The White Lion was built circa 1750 and retains a considerable presence in Bramcote, a village situated near Beeston and only 5 minutes from Nottingham.

Its solid red brick appearance belies a warm and comfortable interior. We have two traditionally furnished bars, a patio area (popular with dog walkers), and a very large beer garden.

The White Lion is known locally as “The Top House” because it is the highest pub in the surrounding area. King George’s park opposite the pub has some magnificent views from the top and on a clear day you can see 3 different counties.

On Tuesday nights we host a very popular Quiz and everyone is welcome to attend. The Quiz starts at 9pm and is free to enter. We do hope you enjoy your meal with us today and will visit us again in the near future.
